I'm not sure what's going on with gold fashion jewelry in America. Sadly, they seem to be all sourcing from the same manufacturers who all seem to use a bright marigold yellow plating that looks extremely gaudy. While in some parts of the world gold jewelry is bright yellow, this version looks almost like a toy. This is the color I have seen for gold-plated jewelry bought online from 3 different stores now. It makes me so sad that it's harder and harder to find anything of quality in the U.S. unless you spend a fortune at the luxury item category (and even then it can be iffy). If you want a super yellow somewhere between marigold and and mustard, I guess you'll like this :( It's a nice design but the color is ghastly. Sorry.
