 Returns + Exchanges

Uncommon James provides free return shipping with qualifying Jewelry, Beauty, and Lifestyle orders. Orders placed online may be returned online or at our stores, located in Nashville, Tennessee, Chicago, Illinois, Dallas, Texas and Charleston, South Carolina. Purchases made at retail locations may be returned at any store or online. If you are not located near either retail location, please reach out to Customer Experience by clicking the “Help” or “?” Icon in the right-hand corner of your screen. Uncommon James must be contacted within 30 days of purchase in order to process a refund or exchange. Please use our online Returns Center. 

We hope that you are satisfied with your Uncommon Beauty purchase, but in the event that the product is damaged, causes a reaction, or is unsatisfactory, you may return it for a refund or credit within 30 days of purchase. Please contact Customer Experience if any adverse reactions occur. 

Note: All sale items are final sale and not eligible for refund, exchange, or store credit.

Return for Refund

All returns must be sent back to Uncommon James in the original packaging and condition. The return/refund process starts the day the items are returned to us. Please allow 5-7 business days for the return process to be completed. Refunds are returned to the form of payment the order was originally placed under (or store credit). The credit card company may take up to 10 business days for the credit to be seen on your account.

Return for Exchange

For exchanges, please allow 5-7 business days after the package has been delivered back to UJ to complete the exchange process. If there is a price difference between the item being returned compared to the requested exchange item, the customer will be responsible for the difference. If there is a credit due to the customer, that credit will be applied to the original form of payment back to the customer.

Warranties + Replacements

If something in your order arrives broken or damaged, please include a photograph of the items. If an item arrives broken, damaged, or causes an adverse reaction, a full refund will be granted.

Jewelry

Uncommon James provides a manufacturer warranty on all jewelry purchases for up to 1 year after the purchase date. Uncommon James must be contacted within 1 year of the date your order was placed in order to process a replacement or provide a store credit.

Beauty, Fragrance + Lifestyle

To ensure you have the best experience, Uncommon Beauty and Hard Feelings Eau De Parfum have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. In the event that your product is damaged or causes a reaction, you can process a return or contact Customer Experience for assistance. 

Uncommon Lifestyle products that become damaged within 30 days of purchase may be eligible for replacement, credit, or refund. Please reach out to Customer Experience for assistance.

Partial Refunds + Special Circumstances

Partial refunds will be granted in certain circumstances:

- Partial return of original order (ie. not returning the entire order)

- Candles that have been burned

- Adjustments due to price decreases. Not all price decreases are eligible for refunds. 

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you received an item that was damaged or possibly different than what was ordered, please take a photograph and contact Customer Experience so we can better assist you.

Promotional Details

Any item purchased during a promotional period of “Gift With Purchase” may be returned for a refund or store credit during the 30 day return window. Please include the gifted product with the return to receive the full refund value of your purchase. Otherwise, the refund will be adjusted based on the retail value of the gift.

Can I cancel my order after it’s been placed?

We will do all we can to assist with canceling your order. Please reach out to Customer Experience immediately after your order is placed if a cancellation is needed. If the order has gone through the system, a cancellation will not be possible. In those instances, a refund will be processed if the package is returned within 30 days of the purchase date. Shipping Costs + International Orders

We will not be able to refund the shipping cost for international orders due to the payment being made directly to the shipment provider. For international orders, if your package is unclaimed and is returned back to us, we may refund the amount of the products; the shipping costs are not eligible for a refund. Uncommon James is not responsible for any additional shipping costs for returns and exchanges, and we do not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation of returned packages lost in transit without proof of delivery to Uncommon James.

Please note: We offer free standard international shipping on all orders to Canada, excluding Hard Feelings Eau De Parfum. However, it is the customer's responsibility to pay any return shipping costs.
