Uncommon Clean™

What does Uncommon Clean™ mean?

The Uncommon Clean™ mission is to create clean, safe, and transparent skincare and fragrance products that you can feel confident using time and time again. While there’s no finite definition of “clean skincare” or “clean fragrance,” we hold our formulas to extremely high standards — everything must be vegan, Leaping Bunny certified, gluten free, silicone free, sulfate free, paraben free, petrolatum free, and phthalate free. Additionally, all skincare is fragrance free, our eau de parfum is EWG verified, and we banned over 2,700 ingredients from our skincare and fragrance product formulations that do not align with our standards. We are also 100% transparent about every ingredient in our skincare and fragrance formulas — nothing’s a secret here.

What Does EWG Verified Mean?

EWG Verified means those specific products meet EWG's strictest standards for your health. This means none of EWG's chemicals of concern. This means full transparency. This means a mark you can trust. It means EWG approved.

The below products are EWG Verified and we are diligently working to add more to the list:

  • Hard Feelings Eau De Parfum
  • Enhanced Daily Foaming Powder Cleanser
  • Enhanced Daily Water Cream
  • Enhanced Pineapple Peptide Nectar
  • Retinol Alternative

What Does Leaping Bunny Certified Mean?

Leaping Bunny provides the best assurance that a product is free of animal testing at all stages of development. In order to become Leaping Bunny certified, we comply with requirements that go beyond current laws. All of our products and ingredients follow the cruelty free criteria outlined by Leaping Bunny.

We Follow EU Regulations

Our eau de parfum and skincare* products are both formulated to be EU compliant.

*Kojic acid, a highlighted ingredient in our Koji Pads, is not found in EU regulations.

Uncommon Beauty Is Fragrance Free

All of our skincare products are fragrance free. Specifically, they are created without synthetic fragrances. If you notice a product has a scent, that’s because of the real ingredients we use. For example, if the Enhanced Pineapple Peptide Nectar has a pineapple scent, that’s because we use pineapple extract in it.

Our Eau de Parfum Focuses on Natural, Sustainable Ingredients

When creating Hard Feelings, we worked closely with our perfumer to ensure ingredients are ethically harvested and support the local communities where they are sourced. The perfumer partners with long-time and local collaborators to source ingredients — promoting eco-friendly practices, supporting local communities, preserving biodiversity, and embracing social responsibility.
