Winter Skincare Essentials

Your closet isn’t the only thing that needs the seasonal swap — your skincare routine could also use a refresh in preparation for winter. Our goal this winter is to avoid dry, dehydrated skin and instead have that ultra-hydrated glow everyone’s searching for.

The three skincare steps we’re following this winter are exfoliating, hydrating, and treating ourselves to a face mask a few times a week. Not to mention, we’re only using clean skincare that is actually good for the skin and made with recognizable ingredients.

Exfoliating skincare is key in the winter. This will remove any dry, dead cells from your skin’s surface and help the rest of your routine absorb (a.k.a. this is how you can get the most out of your favorite moisturizer.)

For a gentle, everyday exfoliation we’re reaching for our Enhanced Daily Foaming Powder Cleanser. This cleanser can be exfoliating or gentle based on how much water you add, which makes it perfect for combination skin types.

For a nightly reset, our Glycolic Pads are just what you need. These will help gently exfoliate for smoother, brighter-looking skin in the AM. Not to mention they also help sweep away dead skin cells, giving you the appearance of minimized pores. Our founder and CEO Kristin Cavallari also likes to use these on her lips at night to combat dry lips, keeping them exfoliated and soft instead.

Once a week during your nighttime skincare routine we recommend swapping out the Glycolic Pads for our Weekly Peel Pads. These work to reduce the look of blemishes, improve the appearance of skin tone, and remove dead cells and excess oil — giving you a spa-inspired exfoliating treatment.

Once you’ve exfoliated, it’s time to quench your skin’s thirst with our hydrating skincare. Not only will this step give your skin the hydration it’s looking for, but it will also help you have a healthy glow even as temps continue to drop.

After cleansing and exfoliating, we recommend going in with a hydrating serum like the Enhanced Pineapple Peptide Nectar. This serum truly does it all — it’s a hydrating, antioxidant-rich formula packed with vitamin C that brightens your skin while actively combatting the signs of aging. Sounds like everything you need this winter.

To seal in everything and add a final layer of hydration our Enhanced Daily Water Cream is the last step of your skincare routine. This lightweight moisturizer is the perfect consistency for your morning routine, while still being hydrating enough to also layer on at night. The best part — it moisturizes without clogging pores. For an extra boost of hydration, mix in our Face Oil or use on its own as another layer.

Now we know your skincare routine isn’t the only place you could use some extra hydration this winter, which is why we also want to talk about our new Body Oil. Created with a special vegan oil blend, this replenishes moisture while protecting, smoothing, balancing, and calming stressed, sensitive skin.

If you’re anything like us, once the temps drop you’re staying in and having more face mask and hot cocoa movie nights. These are the three masks you need in rotation based on your skin's needs.

For a deep exfoliating cleanse that uncovers refreshed, hydrated, glowy skin, you need our Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator. We love to use this 1-2 times a week in the winter as a skin reset.

Want a face mask that’s basically a glass of water for your face? Our Intense Hydrating Mask is the one for you. Made with glycerin, squalene, and shea butter, this face mask moisturizes, softens, smooths, conditions, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and imperfections.

If you want a mask that does a little bit of everything — cleansing and hydrating — then you need our Clay Mask. It hydrates, cleanses, and purifies skin by drawing out excess oil and absorbing impurities from your pores.
