UJ Rewards FAQ
What is this?
As a rewards member, you’ll earn 1 point for every $1 you spend at Uncommon James. Your points can then be used on future purchases both online at uncommonjames.com and in our stores.
Who can join?
Everyone! Simply sign up on our website at uncommonjames.com/rewards.
How do I earn points?
There are numerous ways to earn points, including: every purchase you make*, referring a friend as a new customer, signing up for our UJ newsletter, your birthday, following us on social media… and so much more! Additionally, we may offer bonus point events from time to time for those in specific tiers!
*Points earned do not include taxes, shipping, or customs fees added at checkout.
When will I see points I earned on purchases?
Points earned on purchases will be available within 24 to 48 hours and after your payment is confirmed. Please feel free to contact the Customer Experience team with any inquiries!
Are there different levels of reward tiers?
Yes, there are 3 tiers: Copper ($1-$399), Silver ($400-$999) and Gold ($1,000 and up). There will be different exclusive rewards for each tier as you climb! Your tier status can be found on your account page.
How do I climb tiers?
Purchases made at Uncommon James are what advance you to the next tier; the more you buy, the more you'll climb! This means any points outside of your purchases, such as your birthday gift from us, won’t count toward your tier total.
How do I view my point balance?
Once signed in, your point balance can be found in a few places: our main UJ Rewards landing page, your account page, and at the top of your newsletter!
What are the different reward amounts?
100 points = $10 reward
200 points = $20 reward
300 points = $30 reward
400 points = $40 reward
500 points = $50 reward
*Please note: 500 points is the maximum redemption per purchase.
Do my points expire?
Yes. Your points expire after 1 year of inactivity. You must make at least one purchase or use our rewards program each year to remain an active member.
Can I merge my points?
Yes! If you accidentally made purchases from two different email accounts, we can help merge your points. Each customer is only allowed 1 loyalty account. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your request, including your preferred email address and a list of the others you have used.
Note: Points from someone else’s account or order history may not be transferred to yours. In order to automatically accrue points, you must place your order under email address associated with your own account.
Can I share my points with others?
No. Only the account holder can utilize points earned.
Can I redeem my points for cash?
How do I use my points?
Online: At checkout, a dropdown box will appear for you to choose your reward. Select the desired amount to be applied to your purchase, and voila! Your point balance will automatically be adjusted.
In-store: At checkout, just share your name and email address with the sales associate and they will let you know which rewards are available and apply what you’d like to your purchase.
Will I receive points for purchases paid with gift cards?
You do not get points when using a gift card or store credit.
I completed an activity but didn't earn points!
If you made a purchase, please allow a few minutes for the system to process your activity and provide your points. If you referred a friend, your points will be posted to your account once they make a purchase of $50 or more—and only if it was their first purchase!
How do I receive points for reviews?
Points for reviews are awarded through the post purchase email only. You can leave reviews for up to 10 products per order.
How can I refer a friend?
Give your friend $10 off their first purchase of $50 or more, and receive $10 for each successful referral. There are various ways to refer a friend including email, Twitter, and Facebook.
How many friends can I refer to Uncommon James?
While there is no limit to the number of friends you can refer, please note the Refer A Friend program is intended to reward existing customers who refer first time purchasers— not oneself. You will not receive referral points for multiple accounts created under your same name.
If I return a purchase, do I get my reward back?
Yes! You will be refunded the dollar amount spent and your loyalty points will be returned.
Why did my account balance go down?
Likely because a purchase was cancelled or returned. Please reach out to our Customer Experience team if you have any questions.
If I leave the loyalty program, will I lose my points?
Yes, if you opt out of our loyalty program you will lose your points, If you later choose to return, your account balance will start at 0.
