UJ Rewards FAQ
What is this?
This is our thank you to our #UJBabes! You’ll earn a point for every dollar you spend at Uncommon James. You can use those points to redeem “Boss Bucks” that can be used on future purchases both online at UncommonJames.com and in our stores.
Who can join?
Everyone! All you have to do is have an account with us at Uncommon James and you will be automatically enrolled. If you’re a previous customer and have an account, we’ve done the work for you—you’re already in the UJ Rewards program! Simply login to start reaping the benefits.
If you do not currently have an account, we invite you to open one up at UncommonJames.com. If you’ve made a purchase on UncommonJames.com as a guest, create an account using the e-mail you provided at checkout.
How do I earn points?
Points are earned with every purchase, excluding shipping fees. You can also earn points for referring a friend as a new customer and signing up for our Uncommon James newsletter. You’ll be able to redeem those points as Boss Bucks on future Uncommon James purchases, both online and in our stores— or save up your points for more Boss Bucks, too! Additionally, we may offer bonus point events from time to time for those in specific tiers. Only points earned from purchases will be used for climbing tiers.
When will I see points I earned on purchases?
Points earned on purchases will be available within 24-48 hours. Please feel free to contact the customer experience team with any inquiries!
Can I earn points on in-store purchases?
Are there different levels of reward tiers?
Yes, there are 3 tiers: Copper ($1-$400), Silver ($401-$1000) and Gold ($1001 and up). There will be different exclusive rewards for each tier.
How do I climb tiers?
Purchases made at Uncommon James are what advance you to the next tier; the more you buy, the more you'll climb! This means any points outside of your purchases, such as your birthday gift from us, won’t count toward your tier total.
How do I view my point balance?
Your point balance can be found on your account page, as well as the top navigation bar when you are signed in. It can also be found at the top of your newsletter!
What are the different reward amounts?
100 points = $5 reward;
200 points = $10 reward;
300 points = $15 reward;
500 points = $25 reward;
1000 points = $50 reward;
1500 points = $75 reward;
2000 points = $100 reward;
Is there a limit to the number of points I can earn?
Nope! You will earn a point for every dollar you spend at Uncommon James, both online and in-store. Please note that the maximum redemption is $100.
Do my points expire?
I have an order history on multiple accounts or e-mail addresses. Can I merge my points?
Yes! You are only allowed to have 1 loyalty account, so we are happy to accommodate your request to merge your accounts. Once your account is merged, the primary email address must be used in order to accrue points. Please e-mail customer experience at firstname.lastname@example.org with your request, your preferred e-mail address, and a list of the others you have used. Note: Points from someone else’s account or order history may not be transferred to someone else’s.
How do I redeem my points?
Online: Once you're logged in, visit your UJ Rewards account page, then select the tab called “Get Rewards.” Here, you’ll see the Boss Bucks available based on your accrued point balance. Click which reward you’d like to redeem and a gift card code will pop up. If you'd like to use this immediately, insert this code at checkout, and you’re done! If you'd like to save it for later, X out of the pop-up—and when you're ready, come back to the "Get Rewards" page and scroll down to find "Your Rewards."
In-store Rewards: Please redeem your reward in your online account, via phone or computer, before checking out at a store. You can then share the provided code with the store associate!
You can choose to redeem your current Boss Bucks or you can save them up for a larger amount. Please note Boss Bucks are not redeemable for cash.
Will my gift cards apply to sale items?
Yes, your Boss Bucks can be applied to all purchases at Uncommon James both online and in-store.
Will I receive points for purchases paid with gift cards?
When a gift card or store credit is applied to a purchase. points are not issued.
What do the “approved,” “pending,” and “cancelled” statuses mean
Approved: These points can be redeemed on rewards immediately.
Pending: These points need to finish processing before you can redeem them. This typically applies to purchases and referrals.
Cancelled: These points will not be added to your account. For example, this will happen if you cancel a purchase; the points will change from pending to cancelled.
I completed an activity but didn't earn points!
If you made a purchase, please allow a few minutes for us to process your activity and provide your points. If you referred a friend, your points will be posted to your account once they make a purchase.
How many friends can I refer to Uncommon James?
While there is no limit to the number of friends you can refer to Uncommon James, please note the Refer A Friend program is intended to reward existing customers who refer first time purchasers— not oneself. You may not receive referral points for multiple accounts created under your same name.
If I return a purchase I made using a Boss Bucks reward, do I get my reward back?
Yes! You will be refunded the dollar amount spent and your Boss Bucks will be returned. The points you accrued on your returned order, however, will not be added to your account. If your return is a partial return, please contact the Customer Experience Team.
Why did my account balance go down?
A purchase was cancelled or returned. You can view all of your points activity on our UJ Rewards section of your Account page!
How do I leave the program?
We hope you don’t! Before making up your mind, don’t forget that the UJ Rewards program is free to enroll and points never expire! But if you no longer wish to earn points from your purchases, please contact our Customer Experience Team at email@example.com and we will unenroll you.
What happens if I leave and decide to join again?
Just contact our Customer Experience Team at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll re-enroll you. Please note that with a new account the point total will begin at zero.
What happens to my information when I sign up?
